Complaint unresolved for 8 months was successfully addressed under the Ombudsman’s supervision
A resident of Pastdargom district, Samarkand region, submitted a complaint to the Commissioner of the Oliy Majlis for Human Rights (Ombudsman) regarding the lack of access to natural gas supply.

According to the complaint, although the applicant's neighborhood had been gasified, and the house was built four years ago, he had repeatedly contacted the relevant authorities to connect his house to the gas network. However, for eight months, his request remained unresolved and was met with various excuses. Dissatisfied with the response of the local gas supply authorities, he turned to the Ombudsman for assistance.

The complaint was taken under the Ombudsman’s supervision and thoroughly reviewed. As a result of the efforts by the regional representative of the Ombudsman in Samarkand region in cooperation with the responsible organizations, a personal account was opened for the citizen, and his home was connected to the natural gas supply.
