Ombudsman Holds a Reception of Citizens

On 30 January 2026, the Commissioner of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights (Ombudsman), Feruza Eshmatova, held a regular reception of citizens. During the reception, nearly 30 citizens submitted their appeals.

During the reception, issues related to labour rights, the right to pension provision, enforcement of writs of execution, protection of human dignity and personal integrity, the right to housing, as well as the right to receive quality medical care were raised. In addition, appeals from close relatives of convicted persons and persons held in custody were also considered.

For each appeal, citizens were provided with legal explanations in accordance with the current legislation. Certain issues were taken under the control of the Ombudsman and referred to regional representatives for on-site examination.
