The lessons were conducted by the regional representatives of the Commissioner of the Oliy Majlis for Human Rights (Ombudsman) in Khorezm, Samarkand, Syrdarya, Andijan and Fergana Regions, as well as in Tashkent.
The lessons were organised at general education schools No. 5 and No. 27 in Khanka District of Khorezm Region; No. 14 and No. 51 in Taylak District of Samarkand Region; No. 15 in Mirzaabad District, No. 9 in Syrdarya District and No. 8 in Gulistan, Syrdarya Region; No. 2 in Bulakbashi District of Andijan Region; No. 1, No. 4, No. 20 and No. 37 in Uchkuprik District of Fergana Region; as well as General Education School No. 154 in Tashkent.
The “Ombudsman Hour” was conducted not in the form of a traditional lecture, but through video lessons, interactive games, engaging question-and-answer sessions, as well as photo and video materials.
During the lessons, students were introduced to human rights and freedoms, their legal guarantees and protection mechanisms. Using real-life examples, explanations were also provided on protection against cybercrime, the safe use of the internet and social media, the prevention of offences, and ways to avoid various forms of negative influence.
